Did You Hear It Console Controls
Did You Hear It Roblox console controls for PlayStation and Xbox: L1 sprint, gamepad movement, and horror timing tips. July 2026.
Gamepad Layout
Console players access Did You Hear It? through the standard Roblox app on PlayStation and Xbox. Movement uses the left analog stick. Camera uses the right stick. Jump maps to the default Roblox console jump button when segments require it. Sprint uses L1 — documented in CodedDunt's official description matching the PC Left Shift role.
Interact with prompts using the default Roblox action button when near objects. Horror segments demand precise stick control during pursuit; high camera sensitivity can cause over-rotation and missed doors.
L1 Sprint Timing
Treat L1 like PC Left Shift: burst sprint, not permanent sprint. Chapter 2 at 47.5% completion and Chapter 3 at 31.3% both filter players who exhaust pursuit timing early. Practice the chase route after failures — console players sometimes blame stick drift when the real issue is holding L1 through straightaways that should be walked.
If L1 feels uncomfortable, explore Roblox console remapping where supported, but keep sprint on a shoulder button for panic moments.
Console Audio Setup
Plug headphones into the controller for directional audio. TV speakers rarely convey whisper positioning needed for Search For Your Mother and basement sequences. Adjust Roblox and system chat mix so game audio is not drowned by party voice.
See controls/mobile-audio-tips for shared audio philosophy even though mobile touch differs from gamepad.
Console vs PC for This Game
Console is fully viable for all three chapters and the Secret Obby. PC offers finer mouse camera for inspectable hunting in Chapter 1. Choose platform based on audio quality first, input precision second. See controls/pc-controls for keyboard parallels.
Gamepass purchases work on console through Roblox premium currency the same as PC — FlashLight at 79 Robux helps dark chapters on any device.
Console-Specific Adjustments
Reduce controller vibration if it rattles during horror jumps and distracts from audio cues. Vibration does not replace listening for knocks in Did You Hear It? — turn it down when learning Chapter 1 basement.
PlayStation and Xbox Roblox clients may differ slightly in UI latency. If interact prompts feel sluggish, approach objects slower before spamming buttons. Phone pickup and puzzle interactables need clean prompt visibility.
Console players benefit from TV size for spatial awareness but suffer on directional audio through TV speakers. Controller headphone jack is the single biggest console upgrade for this title, bigger than any gamepass purchase.

Cross-Gen Controllers
Older controllers with worn L1 springs may fail sprint holds during long pursuit — test trigger health before blaming Chapter 3 design. Replacement controllers are cheaper than repeated frustration quits.
